After meeting with several clients today in our public studio, I just HAD to snap a pic to show you how pretty our studio is looking. I added MANY new designs on our display shelves. AND I am in the process of creating themed tables!!! First up Hydrangea and Tulip floral themes. I create a centerpiece that matches my style of wedding stationery design and display all matching stationery. All together displayed beautifully for your viewing and inspiration pleasure.

Included in our studio collection are our popular pocketfolders, 2 and 3 layered invitations, place cards, bottle invitations, and last but certainly NOT least … letterpress wedding invitations that James, my husband (and co-worker), printed!

Since we moved to our new location, {cough} 4 years ago, I have YET to hold an Open House!  WHERE on EARTH did the time go? I hope to do this as soon as I FEEL it is just perfect. This could take a couple more months! I am very pleased with the progress of our invitation studio showroom. And over the top excited to share to the public!

I originally hand-painted the recipe card artwork for a very loyal client of mine. xo She was so sweet to make recipe binder books filled with recipe cards for her family and friends. Now THAT is a great cook and what a thoughtful gift!!

I just hopped off the phone with a lovely mother-of-the-bride and she is in charge the bridal shower invitations. She requested recipe cards as inserts. What an adorable idea! Each guest will bring their favorite recipe to start the bride (or groom!) off on the right step in the kitchen. Love this.

We thought the wedding timeline trend was such a great idea, we designed it 12 years ago.

This is the ORIGINAL wedding timeline I personally custom designed and created in the year 2000 for my clients Monica and Heath’s save the date. I’ve been seeing timelines popping up and really do get a chuckle. And recently when a client showed me one another person created, I just had to share this milestone with you. Yes it’s true! I was the first to design the timeline with fun hand-painted watercolor artwork. When my new client Erica requested I design one for her it brought back GREAT memories. So I dug out my good old iMac G3 and found the file! Can you believe it? I thought you all would enjoy seeing my original timeline. So here we are 12 years later designing another wedding timeline. So much fun! The NEW timeline …

Just Married! Congrats to Sydney and Chris!!

When I was asked to custom design Sydney and Chris’ barn themed wedding invitations, I was thrilled! I had never designed such a theme. After much research, we were ALL very pleased with the results. A white folder invitation in thick white cardstock boasting my hand-painted barn complete with a couple kissing in the door way. Inside a metallic card layer in blue with white invite on top. Hanging outdoor lights streaming on the left side of the card to the right. The invite was scored by hand and hand-folded  then wrapped twice with baby yellow satin ribbon and hand-tied into a bow. This morning I SHED SOME LIGHT on how many watercolor lighthouses I have hand-painted for custom wedding invitations! As I searched for a “lighthouse with a bit of ocean at the base” for Dianna’s place cards, to my surprise I found 7+ lighthouses I had illustrated for invitation designs in the past. I would love to layout samples for you to see the invites for each. But time does not allow that right now. So here you will find the lighthouses in watercolor that are available. If you want a custom invitation design with a lighthouse that is not shown here, no worries! Just ask me! I personally LOVE to paint them. And they do look so lovely on an invite. I promise, “in my spare time” I will snap a few photos for nautical invitation ideas!

I am DEEELIGHTED to share my clients, Nancy and Richard’s, custom wedding invitations with you!! (personal wording details were changed for the photo above) Nancy wanted me to design a vintage, bohemian, old Spanish/Mexico wedding invitation for her boasting hand-painted papel picados. Papel Picado means perforated paper and features Mexican folk art. She showed me photos for inspiration which I have now included in the idea board above! I fell in love. So very romantic and the colors… amazing hues of burnt orange, pops of yellow, pink rose, and grass greens as well as bluish greens. I was thrilled to be able to actually hand-paint their names in the custom papel picados for their invitation design!
