WHO IS MY PERSONAL ARTIST?
Michelle Mospens was born an artist. After her lovely kindergarten teacher told her sweet parents she was a gifted artist, she never stopped drawing.
As a child Michelle remembers receiving the most beautiful social stationery douced in fragrance from her dear Aunt Gail. So thoughtful, so touching, so very personal! After receiving such correspondence, she jumped on her bicycle to buy the grape scented stationery with grapes artwork and grape scented pen she had been eyeing at the local store. She began to write on her very own stationery and loved how special it made her feel.
At the young age of 21, after attending art college in Pennsylvania where she majored in Visual Communications, she sold stationery from a local print shop then worked as a graphic designer and product illustrator for companys like Sears, Ace Hardware, and more.
She met and immediately married Mr. James Mospens, who quickly set up an art drafting table in their small apartment for her. This is where her first custom wedding stationery design blossomed.
During cold winters and sweltering hot summers you will find the two designing, printing, hand tailoring stationery in their studio "My Personal Artist."
Michelle and James own a quaint summer cottage and can be found taking in the evening sunset on their boat or sitting side-by-side lakeside sipping on a chardonnay or a cold summer ale. Let it be known the Mospens are quick to judge any invitation received by their friends. Hand-tailored, high quality artisan standards must be met. They enjoy teaching this model to their son who displayed outstanding artistic skills at age 10.
Michelle's art + invitation designs have been featured in The Knot Wedding Magazines, Brides, Better Homes and Gardens, and Hostess with the Mostess blog to name a few! |
